Mathieu Pung is a French-American designer and founder of Phase1-0. Mathieu believes that great ideas come from the first raw sketch and not from a final glossy paint job.

After studying engineering and sculpture at Dartmouth College, he earned a master's degree in product design at the prestigious Art Center College of Design. He has enjoyed a career marrying art and design - creating sculptures with Claes Oldenburg and Jeff Koons, consumer electronics at Ashcraft Design in Los Angeles, and furniture and lighting at the renowned Marcel Wanders studio in Amsterdam. He also has over six years of teaching experience at the Art Center in California and at the École des Beaux-Arts de Quimper in France, and has had the opportunity to work on projects for Barilla, Cappellini, Magis, Christofle, Harman Kardon, Alessi, Moooi, Seagate, and JBL.

With the Raising Ace product line, his design approach demonstrates his goal to create objects that are fun, safe, engaging, and inspiring for young minds and hearts!
